Personal First of all, I have been cruzing Kentucky Lake since I was 15, where I first learned how to water ski behind an old fishing boat. I knew how to navagate Kentucky Lake in that fishing boat before I even drove my first car...and knew all the good fishing spots to catch "crappie" in early spring. I still have a boat and go to the lake almost every week end...it's in my blood as they say... I love Kentucky Lake!
Although I was not born in Kentucky I'm a 40 year Murray resident. Having graduated from Murray High School and then attended Murray State University 3+ years, Weikel School Of Real Estate of Louisville, Champions School of Real Estate of Houston Texas, and Tom Ball College, in Tom Ball Texas, I can vouch for the quality of education provided especially by our local institutions. My diverse business experiences have given me a great amount of knowledge that I still use in my Real Estate Business today, and has contributed to my success. I have earned many awards in sales and leadership, included in those awards is the Hoyt Roberts award presented to new Realtors for outstanding performance and community service, voted on by my piers to receive in 1999. Very few Realtors have received this prestegious award. Hoyt Roberts being the Founding Father of Real Estate in Murray. I have held several officer and chair positions on the Murray Calloway Co. Board of Realtors and other organizations centered around school, church and athletics. I am a member of West Side Baptist Church. My formal education focused on real estate, finance and business. I was a charter member of NSA professional organization still active today. I am currently a member of the Murray Womans Club, Kappa Department, that works to suppport and fund many regional charaties. I have obtained certificates from all of the schools listed above. Before becomming a Realtor, I processed and closed mortgage loans for CIT Financial Corp. for 6.5 years, after that I became a Domestic and Foreign Buyer/Planner for goods and services for Fisher-Price toys and retired after 21 years. Then I began my Real Estate Career. I worked for Prudential Gary-Green Realtors in Houston, Texas for 3 years, Century 21 of Murray 6.5 years, then worked for Coldwell Banker 1st Realty Group of Murray, 6 years and as Broker for the last 2 of those 6 years. Now I own my own business; Barnett-Realty And Consulting, LLC after almost 15 year of Real Estate experiece and over 40 years on Corporate experience.
